Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about tickets, fees, check-in, payouts, and data protection on Plarty.

What is Plarty?

Plarty is an all-in-one event and ticketing platform from Germany. You create events, sell tickets, check guests in by QR code, organize catering and services, and get paid directly through your own Stripe account — all in one tool instead of five to ten separate ones.

Is Plarty an Eventbrite alternative?

Yes. Plarty is a European, GDPR-native alternative to Eventbrite — with a flat 3.5% fee per ticket, integrated QR check-in and catering, and direct Stripe payouts to the organizer. Event and attendee data is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).

How much does Plarty cost?

There is a free plan ($0), Starter from $9.99/month, Pro at $29.99/month, and a custom Enterprise tier. Each paid ticket carries a flat 3.5% Plarty fee; the Stripe processing fee (~1.5% + €0.25 for EU cards) is borne by the organizer. Free tickets cost nothing.

How do I sell tickets for my event online?

You create an event for free, set up any number of ticket types (e.g. Early Bird, Regular, VIP), and publish the event page. Buyers pay securely via Stripe, and you track sales and revenue in real time in your dashboard.

How does QR code check-in at the door work?

Every ticket carries a QR code. At the door you scan it directly with your phone through Plarty — no extra hardware or separate app download. Valid tickets are confirmed instantly and already-checked-in ones are flagged.

When and how do I get paid as an organizer?

Payouts run through your own Stripe Connect account straight to your bank account. Plarty never holds your money. On your Stripe statement, each sale shows the Stripe fee and the Plarty commission (3.5%) as separate line items.

Is Plarty GDPR-compliant and where is data stored?

Yes, Plarty is GDPR-native. Event and attendee data is hosted in the EU (Oracle Cloud, Frankfurt). Authentication runs through Clerk (GDPR-compliant), payments through Stripe Connect, and email through Zoho (EU).

Who is Plarty for?

For event organizers, clubs and associations, NGOs, universities, businesses, and communities in German-speaking Europe — plus attendees who discover events and buy tickets. Typical occasions: concerts, parties, club nights, conferences, festivals, club/association events, and community events.

Can I also book catering and services through Plarty?

Yes. Through the built-in marketplace you organize catering, services (e.g. DJs, security, photography), and venues from the same platform — without switching between multiple tools.

In which languages and countries is Plarty available?

The interface is available in German (default) and English. Plarty is available in Germany (DE), Austria (AT), Switzerland (CH), and the wider EU.
